And the one that tops them all........

Dan Rather: "We'd rather be last than wrong." HAH! Rathergate, anyone?

In all fairness-- you do remember what happened last time?

To quote the New York Times, Dan Rather (along with many others) got "Burned in 2000."

Or, as good ol' GW himself would say, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...you can't be fooled again."

Either way, the decision to wait was a prudent one. (That is not to say that Dan Rather's comment isn't funny or ironic.)

BTW- This is your lovely sister-in-law posting under your brother's ID.

Oh, I agree. It was prudent, but a bit silly by the end. It became clear by about midnight that the numbers weren't going in Kerry's favor.

Really, Rather's comment reminds me of this Deep Thought by Jack Handy:

"I'd rather be rich than stupid."

The grammatical parallels are stunning.

Oh, and this is an "identity-theft" free zone--get your own account! : ) Thanks for reading the (sometimes aimless) musings.
